Spring Container Refresh
There’s nothing quite like the first planter refresh of the season to lift your spirits. As soon as the weather allows, I love to clear out the old winter greens and make way for color. Today, I swapped out faded winter arrangements for cheerful pansies and graceful pussy willow branches.
Why pansies? They thrive in cool temps, come in endless colors, and add instant charm. Perfect for NJ spring weather. Why pussy willow? Their soft, silvery catkins add texture and a touch of elegance.
If you’re looking to refresh your containers too, here’s a quick tip:
Loosen the top layer of soil, trim back any dead or old plant parts, and nestle your new plants in tightly for an abundant look.
Happy planting — spring is in the air!
